Overview Investor Relatiions Support Services Our Team

Like investor relations, media relations is focused on working with a credible third party – in this case, the media – to communicate a company’s key messages. Cameron Associates believes that an active media relations program is an important element in a company’s overall communications strategy. With this in mind, we design our media relations programs to work in tandem with our clients' investor relations efforts. Our media efforts strive to:

  • Establish or enhance a positive company image before key audiences.
  • Communicate a leadership position by positioning company executives as experts who influence issues of importance in target industries.
  • Announce significant corporate milestones (i.e., mergers & acquisitions, research or clinical trial updates).
  • Successfully introduce new products or services to the marketplace.
While each of Cameron’s media relations programs is tailored to meet the specific business development goals of each client, all are built around three inter-related components: a thorough understanding of industry issues and client needs, sound strategic planning, and aggressive program execution. Our programs target individual media based on their ability to deliver the company’s message to key audiences, whether they are current shareholders, potential investors, or others who are influential to the firm's bottom line, such as decision-makers at potential client companies.

The core strengths of Cameron’s media relations team lie in our ability to develop strategically sound key messages; identify and communicate story ideas; and prepare clients for interacting with the media. We are successful because we understand the news process and have a good working relationship with the media, which is critical to getting a company’s story heard. Our efforts typically result in four broad categories of press coverage:

  • Stand alone feature: Coverage of the extraordinary genesis or uniqueness of a particular company, or of the background of an individual within the company.

  • Industry-related coverage: Coverage of the company within the context of noteworthy developments within its market sector or within various industries in which it is involved.

  • Deal-driven press: Coverage related to a deal or announcement in which the firm was directly or indirectly involved.

  • Outside expert commentary: Examination of news or marketplace trends in which the company is not exclusively involved, but has a particular insight.
Speaking Opportunities & Collateral Materials Development
Some issues impact a broad audience, while others target a specific niche of potential investors or clients. The opportunity to address these key markets directly is often critical to a company’s success. Together with our IR professionals, the Cameron Associates media team also develops speaking opportunities and special events that place the client in front of key audiences.

Additionally, we also provide a range of additional editorial services, including Web site content development, speech writing, newsletters, and development of other collateral materials.
